CAMP EVENTS
Participation offerings are the most important criteria that Burning Man considers when approving and placing a Theme Camp. Between our structures and these organized events, we’ve raised the bar enough to merit additional space and a great location on the Playa. We continue to build on our successes in the past, including our parties and our Cock-Glamming service. But we’re also stepping up to create new type of events and interactive art projects that are adding new dimensions to what our group can do on and off the Playa.
Here’s a run down of our main participation events for 2017.
NOTE: All GlamCocks are asked to do shifts to support these events throughout the week. The shift schedule is HERE.
Morning Coffee Disco Party
Get your morning started right with a nice big shot of GLAM in your coffee! Coffee served at the bar with some vintage wake up music on the dance floor.

TUESDAY: Blacklight Magic
The night is dark and full of pleasure. Our radical ritual calls for beguiling beats, glowing body paint, and mystical concocktions from the apothecary. Beware virgins, the spirits are hungry for a sacrifice.
Doug from The Perry Twins will be providing tribal beats.
WEDNESDAY: Atlantis The Lost Glampire
Calling all mischievous mermaids, muscled mermen, and sexy sea creatures. Go deep with the GlamCocks as we bring you 20,000 queens under the sea. Flip your fins to our siren songs, show off your starfish, and have a sip of our Seaman's Swig. Because darling it's better down where it's wetter.
THURSDAY: Denim, Diamonds and Divas
Grab your finest denim and dust off your bedazzler because it's time to sparkle! We're going to dance the night away to our favorite divas! We want your thigh-high glitz, acid washed fringe, sassy diva looks, and don't forget to get a Glamour Shot at the bar!

Get too shipwrecked last night? The Baewatch squad will bring you back to life! Practice your mouth to mouth as the hottest and wettest beach party on playa returns for sunshine fun, drenching squirt guns, and Speedo-bouncing beats. SPF 69 Recommended.

Are you ready to challenge your worldview, step outside your comfort zone, and provide a little TLC for your body and brain at Burning Man? Join the GlamCocks and friends for QueerTalks and Workshops: a series of moderated audience discussions and wellness activities on topics important to our queer communities. Join in on a real-talk discussion or push your body and mind with yoga, meditation, and vulnerability. Our thought provoking discussions may not always be comfortable, but are intended to be a safe space where we can learn and grow together.
The GlamCocks are excited to be partnering with Gender Blender, Camp Beaverton, And Then There’s Only LOVE (ATTOL), Paradise Motel, and I AM U. All QueerTalks and Workshops will be located in the GlamCocks' Morecockin’ Tent in the center of our camp, with the exception of Walk Out With Your Cock Out, which will meet outside the Morecockin Tent and then be a mobile experience. All queer-friendly freethinkers are welcome and we ask that participants treat each other with dignity and respect.
QueerTalks and Workshops schedule:
MONDAY
1:00 - 2:00 pm, Deepen Your Burn with Mindfulness and Vulnerability
Facilitated by Pretzel (Michael Donofrio, GlamCocks)
This fun interactive workshop will be a chance for us to get to know ourselves and each other better through a light-heart discussion on mindfulness, laugh therapy, and a vulnerability exercise. Come with an open mind and an open heart.

2:00 - 3:00 pm, Walk Out With Your Cock Out
Facilitated by Thunder (Chris Turner, GlamCocks)
Immediately following the Mindfulness and Vulnerability QueerTalk, practice vulnerability in motion by joining Thunder on a naked walk to the temple. It's a low-key chance to shake those default world nerves around nudity and chat with your campmates while experiencing the inner playa on foot. All genders and body types welcome and encouraged to join! Bring sunscreen (seriously).

TUESDAY
1:00 - 2:00 pm, Radical Consent
Facilitated by Nexus (I AM U)
Consent Culture celebrates enthusiastically opting in as a cornerstone to meaningful and loving interpersonal engagement in our community. This workshop will provide a foundation for discussing and practicing consent, particularly under the umbrella of conduct, as well as identify consent related resources on Playa. Freely given agreements to interpersonal engagements are the keys that allow our community to be the best version of itself. And we endeavor to cultivate an environment where boundaries are not just explored but protected as well, and individuals are held responsible for their own actions.

2:00 - 3:00 pm, Let’s Talk About Sex: Barebacking in the Age of PrEP and Undetectable
Facilitated by Treat (Christopher Ruiz) & Michael Marcel (GlamCocks).
Learn the facts about changing rates of STIs and HIV transmission in an age when more people are choosing to ditch condoms. We will also discuss ways to negotiate sex and alternative safer sex strategies, condoms and PrEP are not where the conversation ends.

WEDNESDAY
1:00 - 2:00 pm, Radical Gender F*ckery, A Journey Outside the Binary
Facilitated by Ronnie Appleseed (Gender Blender)
What is the gender binary and how can I f*ck with it? Join us for a workshop on gender identity and expression. We will discuss how gender affects our own lives and explore how we navigate and challenge traditional concepts of gender and gender roles on and off playa.

2:00 - 3:00 pm, Masterfully Navigating the Pitfalls of Polyamory
Facilitated by Stallion (Kamela, Camp Beaverton/ATTOL)
Communication and listening are at the heart of successful poly relationships. This workshop is an opportunity for us to examine past and current relationships through the lens of love languages and communication styles. We will explore how to notice when we are not in communication with our partners and how to course-correct so we can bite that pattern in the butt before it becomes the relationship's pitfall.
